So, I read "Escaping the Paradox" over on snarry_games on ij.  I admit that I did like the story, but I have a major issue with it.

Brief summary of story:  Harry is working a job in the present.  Gets thrown back in time to 1971.  Gets tripped over by Dumbledore who gives him the job of teaching Muggle Studies.  He meets everyone from his past - James, Lily, Severus.. etc.  Tries to find a way back but can't and becomes resigned with the fact that he's stuck there for good.  All the while, he is aware of the pending paradox that will come when he is born resulting in two of him existing at once.  Eventually, like I said, he gives up this search and hopes that everything will just sort itself out.  With the help of Dumbledore, he eliminates all of Voldemort's horcruxes and eventually kills Voldy.  There are other minor character things that go on (ie, Lily and James come to friend Severus, teen!Severus hooks up with timetravel!Harry).  Through all of this, James and Lily do get married and have a baby.  Said baby does not get AK'd and live by Voldemort's hand on Halloween (duh.. cuz he's dead already). 

Here's my major issue.  James and Lily's baby is a girl!  Herein lies the paradox that was never escaped!

If Harry went back in time and did all this, and as it turns out, he wasn't even born....  how the fuck does he go back in time to do this when he doesn't even exist!!!!!!????

Please.. someone... explain this to me?

It appears that I'm going to have another late night writing chapter 3 of my piece for my fiction class since it's due tomorrow.  It needs to be a rather lengthy chapter too so I can make the page requirements for the portfolio.  What fun!  But I'm enjoying this and it really is fun to see where my characters go. 

As soon as I'm done, I'll put up the chapter here and also over at disguisedgenius.

So, I just got back from the Devils game... where they LOST AGAIN to the Rangers.  *guh*  It was so incredibly violent this time around and I'm not even talking about the players.  The fans!  I don't know how many fights had to be broken up in the stands.  And when we were leaving, a cop came rushing in and pretty much choke slammed some guy back from the door to break up a fight.  I thought the man was somehow involved and I panicked!  Hugely!  But he wasn't and that was good.  Grrrr!  Fucking Rangers fans!

EVERY time I go to spell incredibly or incredible.. I always spell it encredibly or encredible first.  That makes me feel stupid... how close am I to getting my masters in writing again?

I love how every time I hover over the link for the Location bit on my lj page, it puts me somewhere in Strasbourg, France.

So I just read that Equus is finally coming to Broadway.  Tickets go on sale in 2 weeks.
